Shipping for cars that deserve a careful hand
Older vehicles have their own personalities: long starting routines, manual chokes, fragile trim. Good classic transport begins with telling the driver exactly how yours behaves.
A good fit for
- Restored classics
- Barn finds and project cars
- Cars headed to shows and auctions
- Inherited vehicles
Preparing a classic for the road
- Secure or remove loose trim, emblems and mirrors
- Check for fluid leaks and tell us about any you find
- Write down starting and braking quirks for the driver
- Confirm that the parking brake works
- Photograph the paint, chrome and interior
Open or enclosed for a classic?
Enclosed transport protects paint and chrome from weather and debris. A project car bound for a restoration shop may be perfectly fine on an open carrier. We'll talk through which fits your car.
If it doesn't run
A non-running classic can still ship. Select inoperable in your quote so that a carrier with a winch is arranged.
Usually, yes. Choose inoperable on the quote form, and tell us whether the wheels roll and steer, because that affects how it can be loaded.
Anything that differs from a modern car: starting procedure, weak brakes, loose trim and low clearance. A short written note travels well.
